Cage the Elephant, The Mowglis, & Portugal the Man//June 1

Oh Red Rocks. I have been going to concerts at this dreamy venue ever since I was a week old and never did I think I would be up front taking pictures. But I found myself with a photo pass stuck to my leg, a camera around my neck, and a spot right at the front and center of the stage for this week's Cage the Elephant/Portugal the Man/The Mowglis concert.

I had yet too see Portugal the Man and Cage the Elephant prior to the show so I was pretty excited for this concert. As usual, The Mowglis brought the happiest of vibes and good feelings to the stage with them. Seeing any band play at Red Rocks is always a great time because there is just something a little different in the looks on their faces as they peer out into the audience. Almost a look of disbelief, like they are in a dream. Next came Portugal the Man and then last but not least, Cage the Elephant. Shooting Cage the Elephant was wild. Lead singer, Matt Shultz spent more time in the air than he did on the ground. Jumping between the stage and the audience, Shultz made his way into the audience several times, at one point even "climbing" up the crowd. This was a concert that no one in the audience will be forgetting anytime soon. Check out photos from the show below...
